SENIOR MEETING

There will be a senior class meeting next Wednesday, December 20th at 11:30 in the library.  It is very important that everyone attends.

 

A+ HOURS AT THE ELEMENTARY / AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING

Any A + student who would like to help tutor after school at the elementary on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:10 to 4:10, please come into the office and speak with Mrs. Elfrink to sign up.

 

SCHEDULE CHANGES

Students who want to change their schedule for next semester will need to sign up on the sheet outside Mrs. Elfrink's door December 12-19.  Mrs. Elfrink will call you down to discuss the change as time permits.  Schedule changes require a signed schedule change form.  To be honored, they will need to be signed and returned by December 20, prior to the end of the school day.  Student requested schedule changes starting in January will not be considered.

 

HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL CAMP

Health Care Professional Camp at Southeast Health will be June 9-11.  It is for students entering the 10th, 11th, or 12th grades considering a career in health care.  Cost is $350 which includes meals, instructional materials, T-shirts, and 2 nights lodging in a college dorm.  Scholarships are available.  To be considered for a scholarship, fill out the application & send the fee by March 3.  Applications not being considered for scholarships are due March 10.  For camp details & the application, go to www.sehcollege.edu/admissions/healthcare-camp.

MISSOURI BOYS STATE

Missouri Boys State is open to boys who have completed their junior year of high school.  It is an eight-day hands on experience in the operation and fundamentals of government. It will be held at Lindenwood University June 22-29, 2024.    Successful completion of Boys State of Missouri qualifies a citizen to apply for 2 or 3 hours of college credit from Lindenwood University and to be eligible to apply for specific scholarship opportunities.  The cost to attend is $500 and must be given by a sponsor.  For more information about applying, visit moboysstate.org.

 

 MISSOURI GIRLS STATE

Missouri Girls State is open to girls who have completed their junior year of high school.  It is an eight-day hands on experience in the operation and fundamentals of government. DUAL CREDIT/DUAL ENROLLMENT STUDENTS

Finals are coming up for SEMO.  You will need to turn in your final grade (percentage and letter grade) to Mrs. Elfrink before we leave for the break on December 20. You can screenshot it and send it to her email at heather.elfrink@deltarv.k12.mo.us.  Please make sure you can view it.  Sometimes the pictures are not clear enough to see after sending.  You have to do this before the break because the percentage will be gone when we get back

 

SEMO ELECTRIC CYCLE & YOUTH TOUR APPLICATION

The CYCLE tour is for HS sophomores & is a 4-day program in Jefferson City.  Participants gather with other students from Missouri to hear national and local speakers who challenge them to be better leaders when they go back home.

HS Juniors are eligible for the Youth Tour, a leadership building trip to Washington DC.  Winners of the trip will meet with other students from Missouri and travel to the nation's capital for a 1-week trip where participants hear national speakers and see many of the memorial and tour museums and historic sites like Mount Vernon. 

Both trips are fully funded at no cost to participants.  Trips are for HS students whose parent/legal guardian are member-owners of SEMO Electric Cooperative.  Applications were handed out.  If your student would like another application, they are available in the office.  Deadline to submit the application is February 1.

COMMONWEALTH HONORS ACADEMY

Murray State offers the Commonwealth Honors Academy to Juniors who have an approximate

composite ACT score of 25, a 3.5 or above GPA, and other credentials such as community

involvement, class rank, and teacher recommendations.  It will be held June 8-June 29.

Deadline to apply is March 1.  Upon completion of the academy, students will receive 6 hours

of university studies credit & an in-state full tuition scholarship for those with a 3.5 GPA or

above & a minimum 25 ACT Composite score.

Tuesday December 19th - 2nd, 4th, and 6th hours

Wednesday December 20th - 1st and 3rd hours

Thurs, 12/21 through Wed, 1/3, there is no school for Christmas Break. Students first day back will be the 4th of January.

 

NO CTC

There are no CTC classes from Thurs, 12/21 through Mon, 01/08. Students first day back to CTC is on Tues, 01/09.   This is for Christmas break.  Please arrive to Delta by 11:00 am on January 4th, 5th, & 8th.
