SCHOOL ENTRANCE

A few offices and the entrance to the High School building has changed.  The only entry door is the Board office door.  You can no longer get in the door between the buildings.  Mrs. Kim & Mr. Crabtree’s office is now at the Board office entrance.  Mrs. Libby & Mr. Heeb have moved to the middle office.

 

A+ HELPERS

We need 3 A+ helpers to help with the dental screening on September 26 from 8:30am-11:30am.  Interested A+ students should sign up on the sheet on the counselor's office by September 25.

 

MINERAL AREA COLLEGE REP

Students in grades 11 & 12 who would like to meet with the Mineral Area College representative on Monday, September 23 during Advisory to discuss what MAC has to offer should sign up on the sheet on the counselor's door by September 20.

 

MURRAY STATE REP

Students in grades 11 & 12 who would like to meet with the Murray State University representative on Friday, September 27 during Advisory to discuss what Murray has to offer should sign up on the sheet on the counselor's door by September 26.

 

BETA CLUB

BETA club members should be signing up for competitions. Sign up sheets are outside Mr. Weber’s door.   If you have questions, see Mr. Weber. 

 

MUSIC / ART

The music class in the elementary is going to be making guitars next week in music. If you have any empty shoes boxes, old empty Kleenex boxes or empty paper towel rolls please send them to school for the kids to use.

 

TEAM SPIRIT

If you would like to join team spirit, you will need to pay $5.00 to Mrs. Elfrink.  We will be teaching classes at the elementary for red ribbon week.

 

FTA

Any student wanting to join Future Teachers of America, you will need to pay $10.00 to Mr. Williams.

 

CROSS COUNTRY

Saturday, 9/21 – meet at Cape 9:30am

Tuesday, 9/24 – meet at Oak Ridge 4pm

 

JH GIRLS BASKETBALL

Tuesday 9/24 VS NMCC 6pm

Thursday 9/26 AT Oak Ridge 6pm

Friday 9/27 AT Leopold 6pm

 

DELTA PARK

The Delta Park Board is hosting a fall fest on October 26th starting at 2pm. If any clubs or teachers want to set up a game or something to make extra funds for the club or their classroom, we encourage you to do so.  Please speak to Chris Williams.

 

DENTAL SCREENING & VARNISH

We will be offering dental screenings & a fluoride varnish on September 26th.  Forms with more information have been sent home.  Please fill out the form and return it if you would like your student to participate.

FBLA

Students interested in joining FBLA can pay their dues to Mr. Hutson.  FBLA dues will be $30.  The Six Flags trip is scheduled for October 19 and will cost $50.  So, dues plus Six Flags will be $80.  The deadline to sign up and pay is October 11.
